Elections Coming Early This Year!

While attention in politics is tuned to the ongoing impeachment proceedings of President Trump and the Democratic presidential campaign — the number of candidates, which seems to have fallen to about 14 after beginning at infinity plus one — let’s remember to focus on our local elections.

After all, aren’t all politics local?

California primaries traditionally have been held in June but this year have been moved up to March 3.

San Joaquin County Supervisor Tom Patti is being hailed as a hero...

San Joaquin County Supervisor Tom Patti is being hailed as a hero after he says he helped a woman who was being attacked and the assailants turned on him.

Investigators say the attack happened Friday night on California and Main streets.

"I'm a little roughed up," Patti told FOX40, wearing sunglasses to hide a bruised and swollen eye. "Broken eye socket and broken nose at this point."
Patti says he's hurting, but with that pain comes peace.
"She was getting punched and pummeled severely. I mean brutal," he said.
Patti described the Friday night attack to FOX40.

Cleaning up our Riverfront

“What I did was just a small contribution compared to the efforts from many who planned and worked with dedication and purpose making this massive waste-removal undertaking such a huge success. The time invested was built on the pureness of heart of all those who care about their community and to make San Joaquin County the best that it can be,” Supervisor Patti noted.

Patti Helps Clean Up Delta

"Family members, kids, people just came out to help and have a positive impact on our waterways and the Delta," San Joaquin County District 3 supervisor Tom Patti said. "Today was outstanding."

Patti donated his crane to lift heavy items from the water.

"We're pulling out water heaters, we're pulling out just garbage, bicycles, wheelchairs, things that's just been thrown in there. Basically you throw a grappling hook and you're going to come up with something at the bottom of the Delta," Patti said.
